Important Information

In the next week we will be distributing a letter to your parents which contains all the important information they need about Camp including how you’ll be getting there (by coach), what time to drop you off and where, what time to expect you home, and the address and emergency contact details for whilst we’re away. The letter will be distributed by your Company but it is now available online too.

Along with the letter you will also be receiving the Medical Consent Forms which must be returned to your Company Officer/Staff Member by Thursday 17th July. It is vital that you return the form by the deadline to ensure that the First Aid Team can review and organise the forms before we go. If you fail to return your Consent Form on time you will not be able to join us at Camp. Once you’ve returned your Consent Form, if you come into contact with any infectious disease you must let us know.

Please note that the dates on the Consent Form include the Advance Party and Rearguard dates (setting up and taking down the Camp) – don’t worry, you’re still only going for 10 days.

The Camp Booklet and Polo Shirts will be produced in the next two weeks and distributed to you, and your Camp ID card will be given to you when you arrive in Exmouth.

The Latest Information page has been updated with, duh, the latest information, and it will provide links to download both the Letter and the Medical Consent Form mentioned about.  We’ve tried to include all the information you need, but if you still have questions feel free to get in touch.

Don’t forget, if you aren’t currently on the MK Camp Email List you can join by simply sending an email to mkcamp-subscribe@googlegroups.com and we’ll ensure you’re kept informed of updates to this site and any other important information regarding Camp.

Training Day for Staff and Assistant Staff

As discussed at the last Staff meeting, and emailed to Staff in February, please remember that the Staff and Assistant Staff Training Day will be taking place on Saturday 5th July from 12pm at the Water Eaton Church Centre.  Please ensure that all Staff and Assistant Staff attend as this will be an important time of preparation for Camp.

The Working Group will be meeting this weekend to plan the detailed programme, but the day will include:

  • time for teams to plan for Camp
  • discussion of interaction between teams
  • Safeguarding training and discussion of new procedures
  • breaks and refreshments (phew!)
  • Assistant Staff training
  • a takeaway for tea (bring funds with you)
  • a Staff/Asst. Staff Meeting

The meeting will begin after tea and we will aim to finish by 9pm at the latest.

If you are unable to attend, or have any questions, please let us know.
