Get Wet and Go Wild

The rain didnt stay away for breakfast and it got harder by the time we left for Quay West. By the time we arrived it was pouring but we were going to get wet anyway so we went for it. The water is warm though and its just great fun so everyone is having a fantastic time.

Morris Dancing

Mark is sharing interesting facts at lunchtimes, but one he isnt so willing to share is that in his spare time he enjoys morris dancing with peoples underwear. See above for the proof.

Proper Tent Inspection

The weather is holding up well enough this morning for us to have our first proper tent inspection. Lets hope it doesnt rain as soon as we go in for devotions and breakfast! We are off to Quay West today – water flumes galore.

Camp Porridge!

Our trainee QM made her first batch of porridge this morning and the official verdict of Table 2 is in: 10 out of 10! Nice work Katie…more of the same tomorrow please!

Tent Inspection

There’s no time to do your hair when there are pegs to be hit, litter to be picked and poles to be straightened. Never mind Keelie, there should be time after breakfast.

Ten Pin Bowling

Just been bowling in the hottest place on earth. Almost pleased that its raining again outside. Phew.

Chilling in the Zone

We are currently just waiting to start a scavenger hunt in town, so we are making the most of the time and relaxing in the Chill Out Zone. And the sun has just come out (briefly).

Junior is Back!

When the weather is bad we still have Matthew to lift our spirits. Who can fail to smile at this?

The Campers Have Arrived

Sadly so did the thunder and heavy rain. It started out a bit sunny but by the time we sat down for tea the thunder roared. Then after tea it cleared a little and so we stuck with the original plan and are on the beach. Its raining lightly but not enough to dampen our spirits.

Clear Blue Sky

After a lot of hard work, a mammoth shopping trip, a visit to Church and a light lunch, we are done for the day and have the afternoon off. Thankfully the weather is glorious! This evening we are off for via staff night out – a small reward for a job well done. See you all tomorrow.
